You Brush Your Teeth (When You Wake Up In the Morning)
A traditional song adapted by Raffi and Louise Dain Cullen (Vampire? Probably.)
Also, I made up some new rhymes. So: adapted by Matthew Vaughan
It's about brushing your teeth. I know someone who brushes her teeth with hot water. Her name's Steph.
Rise Up Singing chapter: Play, p.167
No chords for this one! It's chanted.
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to one
And you want to have a little fun
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to two
And you just can't find anything to do
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to three
And you really badly have to pee
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch (and then you go pee)
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to four
And you think you hear a knock on the door
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to five
And you just can't wait to feel alive
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to six
And you're tired of chewing on teeth-cleaning sticks

You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to seven
And you want to go to oral hygiene heaven
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to eight
And you have to go to work and maybe you're already late
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to nine
And you're feeling awesome and looking fine
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch
When you wake up in the morning and it's quarter to ten
And you're the last one asleep except for your lazy brother Ben
You brush your teeth -- ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch

ReplyDeleteBrushing in the morning eliminates those bacteria that multiplied during our sleep. Upon listening to the dentists (Greenville, SC) in school, I've learned that, bacteria multiply fast when we are not talking or when our mouth does not work. I'm grateful that in Greenville, SC, dentists teach us at a very young age, how to maintain good dental hygiene.
